Artificial-High Directional Anchor (AHDA)

November 17, 2026 - November 19, 2026
$400.00

Duration: 24 hours

Description: This FCDICE-approved course will expand the student’s knowledge of rigging rope rescue systems by exploring the basics of Artificial-High Directional Anchor (AHDA) rigging principles and practices. Using the Rock Exotica Arizona Vortex System, students will examine the principles and applications of constructing tripods, bipods, and monopods for rescue. Students should have a thorough understanding of risk assessments, size-up considerations, and rescue system analysis prior to attending due to the limited time format.

Class lecture and discussion will be complemented with equipment labs, rigging skill stations, and constructing complete rescue systems. Student comprehension is evaluated through direct instructor observation, informal analysis, informal question and answer sessions, team scenario performance, and individual skills performance.

This is a 3-day course and attendance of all three days is required in order to receive a certificate.
