About Us

The Seminole County Fire Department’s Training Center is dedicated to delivering the highest quality training and instruction.

Founded in 2003 and opened in 2007, our 20-acre, 44,000 sq. ft. facility has served as the central hub for fire training activities. We proudly host training for fire agencies regionally and throughout the U.S.

Our facility features a live burn building, a five-story training tower, a trench prop, a pressurized rail car, multiple hazmat training props, confined space training areas, specialized operations zones, and numerous classrooms.

We offer a wide range of technical rescue, fire rescue and EMS classes.

Seminole County Fire Department is a metro-size fire department with more than 575 personnel serving nearly a half-million residents with 21 fire stations. The department responds to more than 50,000 incidents per year and features more than 15 specialty teams, including Special Hazards & Operations, Tower, Wildland, Marine and Trail Responses.

Seminole County Fire Department has three renowned accreditations: ISO Class 1 rating through the Insurance Services Office (ISO), International Accredited Agency through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) and CAAS Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.
