SUMMARY:Trench Rescue
DESCRIPTION:40 hours \nDescription: This course is designed to meet NFPA 1670 standards and NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue. The course will address information from OSHA CFR title 1926. Subpart P and is a competency-based\, hands-on program to meet or exceed the above standards. SUMMARY:Pump Operator Course (80 hr.)
DESCRIPTION:This course is FCDICE-approved and meets the requirements of FFP 1301 and FFP 1302. \nWeek 1: FFP1301 – Fire Service Hydraulics. The course curriculum covers the relationship between flow and pressure and mathematical hydraulic formulas. The course includes pump theory\, pump rating\, and pressure and vacuum gauges. Students must bring a simple calculator with square root function. This portion is a 5-day course and attendance of all five days is required in order to receive a certificate. \nWeek 2: FFP1302 – Apparatus Operations. The curriculum covers the laws\, rules and driving techniques for emergency vehicles\, as well as a review of fire service hydraulics. Fireground evolutions and a driving course make up the practical part of the course. The evolution portion of the course includes the use of pre-connected lines\, tandem pumping\, drafting\, relays and master streams. The student should have a basic understanding of fire stream hydraulics prior to entering this course. Students must bring gloves and proper attire for water pumping exercises. SUMMARY:Tower Rescue Technician
DESCRIPTION:40 hours \nDescription: This forty-hour\, technical rescue course teaches students how to perform organized\, systematic rescues from a variety of towers including radio\, microwave\, electrical\, transmission\, water\, and lighting structures. Participants learn the procedures and systems required for stabilizing and lowering patients and have ample opportunity to use their skills and knowledge in simulated rescue situations.
